On Monday night, police responded to a call regarding threats and extortion, according to an incident report filed by the Murfreesboro Police Department.

The caller, Daniel Embry, 32, informed police that he had received a Facebook message demanding that he put $5,000 cash in the trash can outside of the pavilion located at Patterson Park in Murfreesboro.

The blackmailer claimed he had “hacked” the iPhone and Facebook account of Embry’s girlfriend, Jacqueline Hall, and said he would “unhack” the them were his ransom demands met.

Embry said that the Facebook message he had received was from a nameless Facebook user.

Hall has since deleted her Facebook account and reset her iPhone, according to the police report.

The Crime Investigation Department was notified.

There are no known suspects at this time.
