A former director at a Calhoun credit union has his wedding ring back, 25 years after he lost it.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports Bowater Employees Credit Union executive Ginger Carter found the ring when she was jokingly rummaging between chair cushions in one of the offices.
Because the band bore two sets of initials and a wedding date, she determined the ring likely belonged to Bob Lee.
Lee said he thought he had lost the band at a mill where he worked. He had gotten a new band years ago and even thought about bringing his wife into the local jewelers similar to this hand made engagement ring reading store to get his wife a matching ring, but the new one had no inscription. Lee picked up the original band on Friday, saying he was very happy to have it back.
Lee also joked that the credit union needs a new cleaning person. He stated it was worth getting custom engagement rings Denver, and other jewelry stores offer since not only can you personalize it, but you can always have your name on it in case you lose it, at least you won’t get in trouble, much like he did.
Rings are quite easy to misplace or lose. Sometimes, they can meet an even more unpleasant end if they somehow manage to find their way down the u-bend of a toilet. Luckily, there are tried and tested ways to retrieve a ring from the toilet, if you’re privy to the top plumbing tips shared by professionals in the field. You could try to recover a treasured item like a wedding ring yourself, but there are emergency plumbing services available should you not be able to do this – or if you don’t want to risk making the situation worse! Wedding rings, whether valuable, sentimental, or both, are well worth the effort to retrieve as they represent a commitment to a relationship with your loved one – this is not something to lose in a sofa or down a toilet.
