Student Reports On-Campus Armed Robbery Near Freshman Dorm

A student reported that a man had attempted to rob her on Thursday night near the Stark Agriculture Building, according to a timely warning released by campus police.

The warning was released at 9:03 p.m. and said the robbery had occurred “earlier in the evening.”

The victim described the attacker as a black man wearing a gray jacket with a red hood, jeans and Air Jordan shoes. She said he grabbed her wrist and attempted to take her phone while she was walking to the Stark Agriculture Building from the Honors Building. The assault occurred near the Cummings Hall parking lot.

The victim dropped her phone, shattering it, and the man ran from the scene.

She described him as being approximately 5-feet, 9-inches tall and 160 pounds.
