Former MTSU quarterback Dwight Dasher turned himself into Rutherford County authorities Tuesday, according to a Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman to the Daily News Journal.
Dasher turned himself into RCSO officials for violating his probation. RCSO spokeswoman Lisa Marchesoni said to the Daily News Journal that Dasher, 26, was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center just after 9:30 a.m. His bond was set at $2,500 and posted an hour later.
The reason for which Dasher was on probation was not clear as of Wednesday.
Dasher had an impressive career in his time at MTSU. He played for the Blue Raiders from 2007-2009. As the starting quarterback in 2009, he led MTSU to a victory in the New Orleans Bowl.
He still holds many Blue Raider records, including most passing yards, attempts and touchdowns in a single season.
