Murfreesboro Police Respond to Report of Sex Offender at Old Fort Park

Murfreesboro Police were alerted to the presence of a sex offender violating his parole in Old Fort Park Monday morning at approximately 10:30.

Robert L. Warner, 39, is a registered sex offender recently released from prison after serving time for raping a child.

After being found guilty in Feb. 2000, Warner was added to the sex offender registry and is considered active and violent by the Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry.

According to the police report, Warner said he knew he “f—ed-up” when he saw police arrive at the park.

Warner was arrested for violating the sex offender registry with a bond set at $7,500.
