Who are MTSU students voting for on Super Tuesday?

MTSU students told Sidelines last week who they plan to vote for in the Super Tuesday election. Additionally, they shared which candidate they wouldn’t want to win the presidential election under any circumstances.

While their preferences and political views differed, all of the students who were interviewed could agree on one thing: Trump is the last person they’d want to win.

The MTSU Poll results from January reflect a similar trend in Trump’s disapproval rates state-wide. Even though Trump was chosen as the preferred candidate among 33 percent of Tennessee republicans, about a fourth of all Tennessee voters said that Trump was the candidate they’d least like to see win. Trump came in second for the highest disapproval in Tennessee behind Clinton, who half of the state’s voters chose as their least favorite option.
