Assault and vandalism reported at College Grove Apartments

On Monday, Murfreesboro Police Department responded to a reported assault and vandalism incident that occurred Sunday morning at the College Grove apartment complex.

An MTSU student told police that that his friend arrived at his apartment around 2:30 a.m. angry at the student for not giving him a ride. The friend then allegedly began kicking the victim’s bedroom door until he opened it, and then proceeded hit the victim in the face.

The two began fighting and proceeded to cause destruction in the apartment during the altercation. According to the police report, the bedroom door and living room window experience damaged, and a hole was left in one of the walls.

At this time, no arrests have been made.
