Murfreesboro Police responded to an aggravated assault involving an MTSU student and a handgun on Tuesday afternoon at Taco Bell.

The student was working the drive-thru at Taco Bell located at 2967 S. Rutherford Blvd when a red Chevrolet Impala carrying five individuals approached the window, according to Murfreesboro Police.

The student told Murfreesboro police that a male in dark clothing sitting in the back seat behind the driver became agitated when the student refused to take the man’s order. The student informed the man that he was new at Taco Bell and was not allowed to take orders. The man proceeded to pull out a handgun, cock it and point it at the student.

According to the police report, the student closed the window and told his co-workers, “He’s got a gun.” The vehicle then left the Taco Bell and drove south on South Rutherford Boulevard.

The police have no known suspects at this time.
