Murfreesboro Police responded to a bomb threat reported at Patterson Park Community Center on Mercury Boulevard on Monday at approximately 6:33 p.m.

An employee of Patterson Park Community Center received the bomb threat via a phone call.

According to the report, the caller stated, “I just planted a bomb in your school, mother f—ker,” and then hung up the phone.

The caller then called the center again stating the same thing. During this call, the employee told the caller that his number was on caller I.D. The caller then explained that it was a prank call and hung up the phone.

An officer arrived on the scene and evacuated the building. Once the building was cleared by the officer and a bomb-sniffing dog, it was reopened.
