Crime: Murfreesboro Police respond to shooting on Grantland Avenue

Murfreesboro Police responded to a shooting on Grantland Avenue on Sunday at approximately 8:08 p.m.

Upon arrival, police made contact with a witness. The witness stated that she heard gunshots after she arrived at her residence and got out of her car. She then observed a white SUV traveling at a high rate of speed. The witness watched the SUV turn on the street and heard two more gunshots. A black Dodge Challenger then drove by at a high rate of speed and appeared to be chasing the SUV. The vehicles continued toward Medical Center Parkway. No shell casings were discovered by police.
