A female student and university employee reported a sexual assault to the Murfreesboro Police Department on Tuesday night, according to a police report.

The victim said she was helping a friend study in a Campus Crossings apartment when her attacker asked her to come into his bedroom and talk. According to the report, he then “began to grab the victim on the buttocks and chest,” and threw her on the bed.

The report also says that the victim was thrown onto the floor and assaulted.

MPD detectives responded to the call to gather evidence and transport the victim to Murfreesboro’s Criminal Investigation Department.

Police do have a suspect in this assault.
