Police responded to an armed robbery call at the Ellington Human Sciences Building on Monday night at approximately 8:55 p.m. according to a report released by the MTSU Campus Police.

The victim, George Ragan, 40, stated that he was in the Ellington Human Science Building parking lot when he was “struck in the head from behind by a black male.” Ragan then “fell to the ground and noticed what he thought was a silver knife in the hand of the suspect,” according to the police report.

The suspect wielding the knife was described as a black male, approximately 18, wearing a red and white striped shirt. Ragan said he noticed four or five black males standing off to the side who looked to be of similar age.

Ragan’s iPhone was taken and all the suspects ran towards Middle Tennessee Boulevard, according to the police report.

None of the suspects have been apprehended at this time.
