Crime: Murfreesboro Police respond to aggravated robbery at Student Quarters Apartments on South Rutherford Boulevard

Murfreesboro Police responded to an aggravated robbery at Student Quarters Apartments on South Rutherford Boulevard on Saturday at approximately 4:07 a.m.

Police made contact with the victim at the Walmart on South Rutherford Boulevard. The victim stated to police that he was leaving his friend’s apartment, and the suspect attacked him and demanded that the victim hand over any belongings. The suspect then pointed a pistol at the victim.

The victim began to fight with the suspect, and the victim sustained injuries on his right and left hand during the altercation. The victim then broke away from the attacker and ran to the Cook Out restaurant on South Rutherford Boulevard to hide.

After a short time, the victim ran to Walmart to contact the police. After the victim described the incident to police, detectives arrived at the scene to speak with the victim. The victim was then transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital for evaluation.
