Women’s History Month, a yearly celebration of the women who inspire those around them, is upon the world once again. According to the Women’s History Month website, the origins of the observance began in 1981 when Congress passed “Public Law 7-28,” proclaiming the week of March 7, 1982, as “Women’s History Week.” From there and through the voices of many female activists, the celebration grew and grew. In honor of the tradition, we asked MTSU students about women who inspire them. Watch the above video to see their answers.
