MTSU men’s basketball (12-14, 6-9 CUSA) is set to face the University of Delaware (9-17, 5-10 CUSA) on Saturday at Murphy Center.
The Blue Raiders and Blue Hens last met on Feb. 7 in Newark, Delaware, with the host team holding on for an 89-88 overtime win. Middle Tennessee forced five late turnovers in that contest to spark a 12-2 run, but was unable to complete the comeback.
At halftime of today’s game, MTSU will honor returning members of the 2016 NCAA Tournament squad. Those Blue Raiders won the Conference USA Championship and went on to upset Michigan State University 90-81, becoming just the eighth No. 15 seed to ever knock off a No. 2 seed in the men’s bracket.
Tip-off between MTSU and Delaware is slated for 1 p.m. CDT. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with radio play-by-play available on WGNS Radio.
