Crime: Murfreesboro Police respond to shooting on Benley Street

Murfreesboro Police responded to a shooting on Benley Street on Saturday at approximately 12:44 a.m.

Upon arrival, police found shell casings on the ground on Benley street. Police also found bullet holes in a building and car on Benley Street.

Officers made contact with a victim, who stated that she heard the shots being fired but did not know that her car had been shot. The victim was not harmed during the incident.

Officers spoke with a second victim. The second victim also stated that she heard the shots being fired.

Detectives were then notified of the incident.
