A Murfreesboro hazardous materials team quarantined the courtyard area of the Business and Aerospace Building on Tuesday morning after a two gallon bucket was found with the words “Do not touch: Ebola” written on the lid.

Police were notified of the package around 8 a.m. and Murfreesboro Fire Department’s hazmat team was notified. Police blocked the area, periodically expanding he perimeter. Students were asked to walk through the building, but classes were not cancelled and the building was not closed.

The suspicious package is a white bucket in the middle of the courtyard. Murfreesboro and campus police responded to the scene, along with Tennessee Highway Patrol and a bomb squad.

The area will remain blocked until further notice, according to a campus-wide email from the university.
