Q2: 1:34: MTSU ended its scoring drought with a layup by freshman Blair Baugus. The field goal was Baugus’ first of the game as Auburn has made it difficult for Middle Tennessee to find its leading scorer.

Q2 3:18 : Auburn held MTSU scoreless for the first seven minutes of the second quarter with the Lady Raiders shooting 0-for 9. Auburn went on a 14 point run extending its lead to 27-9, before MTSU called a timeout.

End of Q1: Auburn led after the first frame 13-9. MTSU ended its six minute scoring drought with a Savannah Davis three pointer after facing a stifling press defense by the Tigers.

Q1 5:09: MTSU head coach Rick Insell called his first time out of the game as the Lady Raider’s offense stalled on multiple possessions. Middle Tennessee put up back-to-back last second shots and had a shot clock violation. Auburn leads 6-2.

Q1 8:50: The game’s first media timeout came early as there was an issue with the clock. The horn buzzer went off in the middle of MTSU’s second possession. Play resumed with a Lady Raider throw in that was kicked out of bounds by Auburn.

Q1 10:00: MTSU’s Macie Phifer won the tip with the Lady Raiders scoring the first basket of the game off a Yu Han Lin layup. Auburn’s first possession ended with a missed basket.
