Two MTSU political organizations, Turning Point USA and the Young Democratic Socialists of America, ramped up their meetings this semester, focusing on some of the same topics.

Students attended a teach-in in the student union about the history of the labor movement and the history of activism on the MTSU campus on Nov. 25. It was organized by the MTSU Young Democratic Socialists (YDSA) and the MTSU Student Worker Advocacy (SWAY).  

Several student organizations publicly condemned those who supported and brought former Vice President Mike Pence to campus for a discussion on “Defining Democracy” on Sept. 17.
