Caleb Gray Running for MTSU’s SGA Executive Vice President

Current attorney general for SGA, Caleb Gray, is running for executive vice president with the goal to help senators lobby state legislature.

As attorney general, the junior political science and communication studies major heard student appeals for traffic violations and took the role further to advocate for students on behalf of parking issues.

His current position and experience in lobbying at the state level gives him confidence he could fulfill the role of EVP. Once there, he hopes to train senators on how to lobby so MTSU SGA can follow the example of other schools and lobby the state for funds.

Gray’s inspiration for the EVP position spurs from his time in freshman council when he worked with the EVP at the time, Rachel Lee, who he said became his role model. He also attributes much of his knowledge of the position to his time working with current EVP Haley Cobb.

Although the executive board positions are independent of each other and the students don’t have running mates, Gray is supporting Lindsey Pierce, his longtime friend and co-senator, for president.
