Police Respond to Homicide at Murfreesboro Apartment

The Murfreesboro Police Department is investigating the homicide of 22 year-old Heather Nicole Maples.

MPD responded to a homicide in the 200 building of The Cove at Center Point apartments Friday  around 9 a.m.

According to a release from Sgt. Kyle Evans, investigators suspect that this was not a random act of violence and that the victim knew the suspect.

Detectives are investigating the scene, but have no known suspects at this time. Check back for details as they are released.
