On Monday at approximately 9:47 p.m., Murfreesboro police responded to an armed robbery in progress at College Grove apartments.

The victim, an MTSU student, was reportedly on the phone outside when an unidentified male followed him into his apartment. The suspect then demanded everything from the victim’s pockets and pulled out a pistol when the victim hesitated.

After seizing the victim’s wallet and phone, the suspect ran away on foot. Officers responded with K9 Units but did not apprehend the suspect.

Detectives have taken over the investigation at this time.
