Murfreesboro Police responded to an aggravated sexual assault that occurred on Greenland Drive at approximately 12:30 a.m. Saturday night.

An MTSU student was leaving a party at 920 Greenland Drive when a male wearing a gray hoodie and khaki pants approached her vehicle and held a knife to the victim’s throat. While continuing to hold the blade to her, he began to grab the woman’s chest, pulling one of her breasts out of her shirt.

He fondled her chest until she was able to reach her pepper spray and deploy it at the man. After being sprayed, the assailant immediately ran away from the vehicle immediately, according to the police report.

The victim was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford hospital to treat her injuries. At this time, Murfreesboro Police have been unable to locate the man responsible for the assault.
