It’s a bird, it’s a plane… NOPE, it’s just another tour announcement from our favorite artists. This week, the Sidelines distractions team was buzzing with excitement as some of our favorite artists (and directors) announced new albums, tours and shows. Here, you’ll find a few artists who will be making their way to Nashville, Tennessee.

Baby Keem takes listeners to the ‘Ca$ino’ with new album announcement
After nearly five years, Grammy-winning rapper Baby Keem is stepping out after announcing his new album and tour. Keem announced his second studio album, “Ca$ino,” last week.
This comes nearly five years after his debut album, “The Melodic Blue,” was released in August 2021. The album releases on Friday and will feature 12 tracks. The album contains features from Kendrick Lamar, Too $hort and Che Ecru.
The announcement of the album also includes an international tour. His tour will begin on April 15, and Keem is scheduled to play at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, Tenn., on April 18. William Holman

Tame Impala hits the road with DJO and Dominic Fike
On Feb. 11, Tame Impala, legally Kevin Parker, announced he is adding another leg of the “Deadbeat Tour,” adding North American arena dates for summer 2026 after his sold-out international leg in April and May.
The second leg of the tour for his latest album, “Deadbeat,” will begin July 7 in Miami and end Sept. 19 in Houston. Alongside Tame Impala, openers will be DJO for the first half of the tour and Dominic Fike for the second half.
Fans close to MTSU should look out for ticket sales opening on Friday for a chance to see the singer live in Nashville. Parker will perform at Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 4, featuring DJO as the opener. For avid listeners of the artists, it is sure to be a night to remember. Karlie Lohr

Edgehill brings fans home with debut album, ‘Ode to the Greyhouse’
Local Nashville band Edgehill released its debut album, “Ode to the Greyhouse,” on Feb. 12. The nine-track record reveals a range of emotions through detailed songwriting and impactful instrumentation.
Edgehill moves from quiet vocals and gentle strings to shouting lyrics over driving guitars and drums in this new work. Across the album, the band’s voice and musicianship establish a strong foundation for its debut. Jesse Jones

Ella Langley gives fans another emo cowgirl hit with ‘Be Her’
With her sophomore album, “Dandelion,” releasing on April 10, Ella Langley has given fans a little taste of what’s to come with the release of three new singles. The first being her No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit, “Choosin Texas,” late last year. She then released the title track, “Dandelion,” on Jan. 30, and, now, the latest release, “Be Her,” on Feb. 13.
“Be Her” showcases the diversity of Langley’s sound, mixing country twang with a retro nineties beat. While much of Langley’s music croons about lost love and staying true to her roots, this new track adds an upbeat tune to the somewhat sad lyrics.
The track follows on the heels of the first release, “Choosin Texas,” with a woman desperate to have it all together. Langley sings about the person she wants to be, saying she “…wants to be her so bad, it hurts so bad.” However, the artist keeps things light with sunny instrumentals and clever wordplay. With the first three releases under her belt, this album is already looking to be a hit with listeners. Tucker Young

Spider-Noir returns in a new live-action series
“Spider-Noir” dropped its first trailer after years of high anticipation and patient waiting. Nicholas Cage, who voiced the character in 2018’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” reprises his role in this new limited series.
Classic Spider-Man energy is subverted in this grimy crime thriller, which will air in two versions: black-and-white and full color. The series premieres on Amazon Prime Video on May 27. Jesse Jones
