Conference USA releases updated 2026 football schedule

CUSA revealed MTSU’s revised football schedule on Wednesday, following Louisiana Tech University’s official departure from the conference.

Conference USA released updated football schedules early Wednesday, in the wake of Louisiana Tech’s departure to the Sun Belt Conference, following a settled federal lawsuit between CUSA and the university.

In the previous draft released on March 12, CUSA scheduled MTSU to travel to Ruston, Louisiana to face LA Tech on Saturday, Sept. 26. For MTSU, that date has since been changed to a road contest against Jacksonville State University, while the rest of the Blue Raiders’ opponents remain unaltered.

Middle Tennessee is 14-4 against Jax State all-time, but 0-3 since the Gamecocks joined CUSA in 2023.

Sept. 12: MTSU at Marshall
Sept. 19: MTSU vs Nevada
Sept. 26: MTSU at Jax State
Oct. 3: MTSU at Kansas
Oct. 13: MTSU vs Delaware (Tuesday)
Oct. 20: MTSU at Florida International (Tuesday)
Oct. 28: MTSU vs Kennesaw State (Wednesday)
Nov. 7: MTSU vs Western Kentucky
Nov. 14: MTSU at Liberty
Nov. 21: MTSU at Sam Houston
Nov. 28: MTSU vs New Mexico State

Some slight changes to MTSU’s updated @ConferenceUSA schedule include:

-The addition of a Wednesday night game (All of MT’s “Weekday CUSA” games were previously set for Tuesdays.

-Last game of the season is now at home vs New Mexico State (Was on the road at Sam Houston).…
