Murfreesboro Police responded to reports of reckless endangerment and assault at the University Ridge apartment complex on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

A witness reported to police that a black male was actively shooting toward the direction of Haven Drive.

The man was described as light-skinned with dreads, carrying a handgun.

Responding officers recovered several 9 millimeter shell casings from the scene.

An anonymous caller also informed police that after the fired shots, she observed three black males fighting another black male near a gold car. She reported that the black male being assaulted entered an apartment with a female, but later left the scene.

Police were unable to make contact with any subjects and no arrests have been made at this time.
