Student reports sexual assault at College Grove

Murfreesboro Police responded to a reported sexual assault Saturday at College Grove.

The victim, an MTSU student, reported that the incident occurred between 6 and 9 p.m. on New Year’s Day in her apartment.

The victim told police that she had been hanging out with friends at her apartment the same evening.

According to the police report, a rape kit was collected, and detectives have taken over the case.

No further details are available at this time.
