MTSU Steak ‘n Shake opens for business

Steak ‘n Shake will begin serving up steakburgers to MTSU students starting Tuesday.

The ’50s-style diner, most well known for its steakburgers and hand-dipped milkshakes, has replaced Tortilla Fresca in the Student Union Building.

Amid other restaurant suggestions, students have advocated for getting a Steak ‘n Shake on campus for the past few years. Since the announcement of the restaurant, students have excitedly sounded off on social media.

Even before its official opening, the diner has begun building a reputation with the students by offering free food during the staff’s training sessions. The restaurant will also be opening just in time for students to take part in their Valentine’s Day-themed milkshakes, such as the Red Velvet and Chocolate Covered Strawberry shakes.

Steak ‘n Shake will be open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
