Trump, Clinton projected to win Tennessee, AP reports

The Associated Press has projected Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton the winners of Tennessee’s primary election.

Trump and Clinton were projected soon after the polls closed at 7 p.m.

As of now, Trump leads Tennessee’s Republican primary with 46 percent (55,216 votes), and Clinton leads the Democratic primary with 68 percent (40,091) in Tennessee.

Sen. Ted Cruz currently stands at 21 percent (24,929), and Sanders is trailing behind Clinton with 29 percent (17,141).

In the days leading up to Super Tuesday, both Trump and Clinton visited Tennessee.
