Murfreesboro Police Department responded to theft from an automobile at College Grove Apartments on Thursday.

The victim, an MTSU student, told police that his black Northface backpack had been missing from his car since Wednesday morning.

He claims that the vehicle looked as if it had been ransacked but that only his backpack was taken, which contained a 2nd generation white iPad and some sketchpads. The victim alerted police after trying to locate the stolen property in classrooms on Thursday morning.

Police found that the suspect had entered the car via an unlocked door.

At this time, there are no known suspects.
