With finals week here, all-nighters are an inevitability for most students. Unfortunately, most restaurants close before 10 p.m., leaving those students without a place to eat. Luckily, Murfreesboro offers several eating establishments that are open late for those wary students looking for a bit of nourishment while trying to cram in a semester’s worth of information.

Bar Louie
Location: 2615 Medical Center Parkway Suite 2395
Hours: Monday-Friday 11:a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday & Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Offering a wide variety of food options from burgers and sandwiches to pasta and tacos, Bar Louie is an eclectic urban bar with unique design work that promises an unforgettable experience. While Bar Louie may be on the pricier side, it offers a warm environment perfect for students in need of a study break.

Recommendation: Tuscan Chicken Pasta

Old Chicago
Location: 1835 Old Fort Parkway
Hours: Monday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.

If you find yourself with a craving for pizza while brushing up on the vocabulary for your Italian final, Old Chicago has got you covered. The pizza joint/tavern offers many different pizza and calzone options, as well as bar foods like sandwiches and wings. While it can be a bit pricey, the food’s pretty good for a chain pizza place.

Recommendation: The Meat Me pizza or calzone

The Boro Bar & Grill
Location: 1211 Greenland Drive
Hours: Sunday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 2a.m.

Not wanting to travel too far from campus? Less than a mile away from MTSU, The Boro Bar and Grill offers the typical bar food selection at a slightly more reasonable price than Bar Louie and Old Chicago. While the environment can get hectic at times, the food’s good. Plus, you don’t have to travel across town to get there.

Recommendation: The Boro Bacon Cheddar Burger

Waffle House
Location closest to campus: 3009 South Rutherford Blvd
Hours: Open 24 hours a day Sunday-Saturday

If pizza and bar food aren’t your thing, and you’re looking for a quick and affordable meal at 2 in the morning, Waffle House is the way to go. Whether you’re a breakfast person or a lunch person, it doesn’t matter. Waffle House offers a full menu all day (literally), every day. While you’ll probably never see it on the cover of Gourmet Magazine, the food at Waffle House is satisfying enough to ease your hunger pangs.

Recommendation: The Patty Melt with the hashbrowns “all the way” (unless you have a reason to live).

Taco Bell
Location closest to campus: 2955 South Rutherford Blvd
Hours: Sunday-Wednesday 7 a.m. to 4 a.m., Thursday-Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 a.m.

Probably the least expensive and quickest on the list, Taco Bell is the perfect place to go if you want to order something and bring it back to eat while you study. With less than 10 ingredients, the fast food chain manages to offer a full menu of hand-held items that are easily manageable while traversing through your notes.
