Middle Tennessee golfer Hanley Long was named Conference USA’s Golfer of the Week for the week of October 2 for her incredible performance at the Johnie Imes Invitational.
Long played a key part in the Lady Raiders’ third-place finish at the tournament, and she also finished fifth overall on the individual leader board.
Long led the Blue Raiders by logging two birdies and two bogeys on the first day. She recorded her third round of par or better in just seven rounds this season. This performance also landed her in the top ten list for par rounds in program history.
The Clarksville, Tennessee, native picked up where she left off on Tuesday, finishing the two-day tournament logging a one-under par (71) in the second round, and a three-under par (69) in the third round. Her third round score marked the second lowest round of her career, and Long also led the field in pars with 41.
Long is now tied for seventh in program history with 13 rounds of par or better in her career.
