The MTSU men’s basketball team looks to make it two straight wins to start off the 2021-22 season on Friday hosting Bethune-Cookman.

The Blue Raiders are coming off their 98-59 win over Brescia University in their season opener on Tuesday.

MTSU had 11 players who logged more than 10 minutes in the opening game, showcasing a great amount of depth to start the season.

“It feels good to look down the bench and see 12 eligible bodies,” said MTSU head coach Nick McDevitt.”

Bethune-Cookman play in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, and they’re located in Daytona Beach, Florida.

A player for the Wildcats to look out for is sophomore guard Joe French, who’s a great shooter who put up 14 points this past Tuesday and shot 44% from 3 in their 75-54 point loss to USF. Another player to look for is senior guard Colins Joseph who distributes the ball with ease picking up 6 assists and contributing 10 points. Keeping this team from getting good looks to their shooters will be key this Friday.

Tipoff on Friday is 6 p.m. at the Murphy Center.
