Final: Missed free throws late by multiple Blue Raiders shut down the chance of a comeback. Torey Alston went 2-of-4 after a flagrant one foul and a common foul. Sean Smith went 2-of-4 after two trips to the line late. LA Tech was able to ice the game at the line going 4-of-4 in the final minute. The Bulldogs win 80-69.

H2 2:51: Tre Green knocks down his fifth three-pointer of the day to keep MTSU in the game down eight. Head coach Nick McDevitt called a time out to set up the press defense which forced a 1o second call against LA Tech.

H2 3:52: The Bulldogs are back out to a double digit lead, 67-55. The Blue Raiders have gone nearly six minutes without a field goal, only trips to the line since the 9:08 mark.

H2 6:04: Tre Green cut the LA Tech lead to four after two perfect trips to the line. The Bulldogs hit a jumper and a three to extend it back out to eight point game.

H2 8:53: Jahvin Carter cut the Bulldogs lead to six, 54-48, with a three pointer. After trapping LA Tech, forcing them to burn a timeout, MTSU has life.

H2: 11:51: The turnover battle is starting to stack against Middle Tennessee. The Blue Raiders have turned the ball over 15 times, leading to 14 points for LA Tech. Chris Loofe will be back in the game to try and help the Blue Raiders down low.

H2 15:54: LA Tech continues its hold on Middle Tennessee as the Bulldogs lead 41-32. MTSU’s Chris Loofe picked up his third foul which will send him to the bench for the time being. Loofe currently leads the Blue Raiders in points.

Halftime: LA Tech goes into half up 39-25, led by impressive shooting at 56% from the field and 70% from three point land. The Bulldogs have hit seven three-pointers.

H1 1:13: MTSU head coach Nick McDevitt was forced to take a timeout after an AJ Bates three pointer that put LA Tech up 12. Middle Tennessee is currently struggling to cut into the Bulldogs deficit.

H1 3:23: LA Tech did not let the Blue Raiders stay close for long as the Bulldogs pulled back out to a 10 point lead. Two three-pointers and an electric dunk put LA Tech back in the driver’s seat going into the final minutes of the first half.

H1 7:59: The Blue Raiders have pulled within four points with a 5-0 run from a Sean Smith three pointer and a set of Chris Loofe free throws. Both teams are starting to settle in as the shooting percentages have evened out around 60%.

H1 11:34: The Blue Raiders are down early 19-12, with turnovers hurting them early. LA Tech has scored six points of turnovers while shooting 64% from the field and 75% from three point range.

H1 15:59: Louisiana Tech came out firing going 4-of-4 to start the game with two three-pointers.
