Crime: Multiple cars set on fire overnight on West College Street

Murfreesboro Police responded early Tuesday morning to a report of arson at Direct Auto on West College Street.

When the MPD officer arrived on scene, multiple vehicles were burning in the business parking lot. Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue arrived on scene to put the fires out.

According to the police report, it appeared that the fires had been set intentionally, so a fire investigator was called on scene and took over the investigation.

According to the complainant, a dark colored Nissan Altima had exited the parking lot a few minutes before the complainant saw the fire. The complainant could not give any description of the driver or occupants.
