Last Night’s Alert Upgraded to Sexual Battery

One of the MT Rave Alerts released an alert last night after a female student reported an attempted robbery at 8:34 p.m.

The alert has since been upgraded to a sexual battery due to the seriousness of the assault that took place in the MTSU Lot. This is the gravel parking lot near Greek Row.

The suspect is a light-skinned African-American male with freckles. He was carrying a knife at the time of the assault.

The second assault was reported two and a half hours later at Scarlett Commons. That suspect is described as wearing all black and carrying a handgun.

No arrest has been made in either case.
