The Business and Aerospace Building has been reopened after a bucket reading “Do not open: Ebola” was found behind the building around 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
The university released a statement via campus-wide email that normal activity may resume and students are now allowed to return to class.
Classes were never cancelled, and the building was not evacuated.
The two-gallon, white bucket was found in the courtyard early this morning and reported to campus police. MTSU police blocked the area and notified Murfreesboro police, Tennessee Highway Patrol, Murfreesboro Fire Department and Murfreesboro Hazmat team.
The hazardous materials team removed the bucket shortly after 11:30 a.m.
This story will be updated as details become available.
