Student Reports Sexual Assault Near Campus

An MTSU student reported early Saturday morning that she had been sexually assaulted by an unknown assailant in a parking lot near campus earlier in the month, according to Murfreesboro police.

The victim told police she was assaulted on Nov. 6 in a parking lot near 750 Jessica Street, close to the Burger King on Middle Tennessee Boulevard.

She gave police a description of her assailant and physical evidence was collected during the investigation, according to the police report.
