Two people have died in a fiery crash that closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 24 north of Nashville.

Media report the crash was reported at about 5 a.m. Tuesday and involved two semi-trucks and a car. WKRN-TV reports that an eastbound semi-truck crossed the median and hit a FedEx truck, which was then hit from behind by a car. WTVF-TV reports the crash was still ablaze more than an hour after it happened.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation says it expects the westbound lanes to reopen by noon.
