Murfreesboro police responded to a call in reference to an armed robbery at a North Rutherford apartment complex Wednesday afternoon, according to the Murfreesboro Police Department.
Police arrived on the scene at approximately 12:37 p.m. where they made contact with the complainant, Brock Simon, according to the incident report.
Simon, 21, told police that when he pulled into his apartment complex parking lot, a “black male approached his car and began speaking to him.” The male then pulled a gun and “stuck it into Mr. Simon’s face, demanding his money and possessions,” according to the incident report.
Simon stated that he did not have any money on him at the time, but the suspect took his iPhone 6.
The suspect was described by Simon as a “short, thin 18-19 year old dark skinned black male with close cropped hair.”
The case was turned over to detectives at the scene. There are no other known suspects or witnesses at this time.
