A Murfreesboro Police officer was dispatched on Sunday to Evergreen Street in response to a reported shooting.

When the officer arrived, he found multiple shell casings. Multiple houses and vehicles had been struck by bullets, according to the police report.

One resident said a white car and a maroon car with multiple passengers left the scene. The witness could not provide any other details about the vehicles.

In a separate report, one individual arrived at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital Sunday night with a gunshot wound. The report indicated that it was unclear if the two incidents were related, but “it is believed the two calls are related.”
