What is the MTSU CARE Team?

The MTSU Campus Action Response and Engagement team works to assess reports of concerning student behavior reported by the campus community and coordinate centralized responses to a variety of situations, including seasonal depression, excessive absence, difficulty adjusting to college life, relationship problems, etc.

Campus Health Services announces new Relaxation Station, offering relief from the stress of finals

MTSU’s Relaxation Station at Health Services opens Dec. 4 in the Recreation Center. This space allows students to relax and escape the stress of finals, which is evidence of MTSU Health Services’ effort to extend its care beyond counseling and check-ups.

MTSU organizations host teach-in to learn about labor movements and continue their own

Students attended a teach-in in the student union about the history of the labor movement and the history of activism on the MTSU campus on Nov. 25. It was organized by the MTSU Young Democratic Socialists (YDSA) and the MTSU Student Worker Advocacy (SWAY).

Are MTSU professors censored by the state?

Last week, students received a biennial campus climate survey asking if they can express themselves adequately at MTSU. The survey resulted from Public Chapter No. 268, which prohibits public higher education institutions from taking specific actions regarding divisive concepts and students' and employees' beliefs, ideologies or viewpoints. Governor Bill Lee signed it into law in 2023.

MTSU, medical school accepted six students into fast-tracked program

MTSU selected six medical students for this year’s Middle Tennessee State University-Meharry College Medical School Early Acceptance Program (MSEAP) and offered those aspiring physicians a direct path from a bachelor's degree to a doctorate.
