On March 18, Murfreesboro police responded to a shooting reported at the Vie apartment complex around 5 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found the body of Donte Bernard Johnson, 23, in the parking lot beside building three. According to the police report, Johnson appeared to have been shot to death.
According to police, another individual, Brandon Deangelo Herman, 25,was later located and was transported to the emergency room due to a gunshot wound in the left leg. After his discharge from the hospital, Herman was arrested on unrelated charges from Alabama. He is currently in the Rutherford County jail awaiting extradition back to Alabama.
