On Friday, MTSU student Deandre Ford, 19, was arrested for shoplifting at the Walmart located on S. Rutherford.

Walmart loss prevention reported that Ford was observed removing the security wrap from two LG 49” televisions priced at $398 each. Ford then placed the two televisions into a shopping cart and passed all points of sale, according to the report.

Walmart loss prevention advised that Ford had previously stolen a television from this location prior to this incident. In total, Ford had stolen $1194 worth of items.

Ford was arrested for theft exceeding $500. Walmart is charging Ford with theft less than $500 for the previously stolen television.
