The Quidditch League of MTSU, known as the Thestrals, has been mastering the “Harry Potter” inspired game on campus for almost seven years.

Quidditch league president Emily Brackett told Sidelines at the team’s Friday skirmish that the sport is for everyone, and anyone can find their place.

Hart Carter, the league’s oldest member, says the team provides fun for all kinds of students.

“Some people are here because quidditch is ‘Harry Potter’ and you know they’re really into that fandom,” Carter said. “I’m here because I just really enjoy playing the game and working for it.”

The Thestrals hold practices every Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the field by the Bell Street parking lot.
