Murfreesboro Police responded to an aggravated assault, in which a man was dragged by a moving vehicle, at Tremont Apartments Friday at approximately 3:29 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with a witness. The witness stated that, about ten minutes prior to when the officers arrived, she saw a gold van driving extremely fast out of Tremont Apartments. The witness told police that the van was dragging a man behind it. Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and treated the victim for minor and major injuries. The victim was then transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Detectives were then notified and arrived on the scene.
