Crime: 4 suspects now charged with 1st-degree murder in Murfreesboro shooting

Updated on July 2, 2018, at 10:40 p.m. with new information about 20-year-old Albert Mustapha’s arrest for his alleged involvement in Wednesday’s fatal shooting of 27-year-old Dylan Biddle Jr.

Four suspects have now been charged with first-degree murder in the ongoing investigation of the fatal shooting of 27-year-old Murfreesboro resident Dylan Biddle Jr, according to a new report by the Murfreesboro Police Department on Monday.

Biddle was one of two shooting victims on Wednesday. 20-year-old Albert Mustapha, the second shooting victim, was revealed through investigation to have been involved in the fatal shooting of Biddle that same day, according to the most recent report from the Murfreesboro Police Department on Monday. He was released from Vanderbilt Hospital Monday into the custody of Murfreesboro Police to be booked into the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department for his alleged involvement in the attempted robbery and shooting of Biddle which resulted in his death.

Mustapha is charged with first-degree murder and is currently being held without bond at the Rutherford County Sherriff’s Department.

In addition to Mustapha’s arrest, 20-year-old Lesean Janell Savage, 19-year-old Kyle Fugett and 23-year-old Chasitie Smith were all interviewed as possible suspects and arrested subsequently. They were charged with first-degree murder for their alleged involvement in the shooting death of Biddle.  They are currently being held without bond at the Rutherford County Sherriff’s Department.
