Two MTSU students were arrested on campus for domestic assault and vandalism last Thursday at approximately 11:02 p.m.

According to the report, MTSU Police officers were dispatched to Monohan Hall to respond to a possible domestic assault victim. Upon arrival, the officers spoke with a female student who claimed that she had been assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, who was also a student. Based on information that officers received, there appeared to have been three separate assaults at three separate locations. Both parties involved in the assaults had vandalized each other’s rooms. After officers gathered statements from the female student, her ex-boyfriend and witnesses, it was determined that both parties were responsible for the domestic assaults.

Both parties were then arrested and charged with domestic assault and vandalism under $1,000. The students were booked at the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
