Murfreesboro Police arrested former MTSU student Daniel Sullivan, 21, for two counts of rape on Tuesday at approximately 1 p.m.

MPD Detective Tommy Roberts was assigned to a case that involved Sullivan in October 2017. The case’s investigation showed that the victim became extremely intoxicated to the point that she was mentally incapacitated. According to the police report, further investigation showed that Sullivan had sex with the victim without her consent. The evidence that was discovered during the investigation was presented to the January 2018 Grand Jury, and Sullivan was then indicted. Sullivan turned himself in to Roberts without incident. According to reports by WGNS Radio, Sullivan bonded out of jail on Thursday.

Sullivan last attended MTSU during the 2017 fall semester.
