Police responded to a report of a homeless man near South Church Street creating a disturbance under a bridge, according to a report filed with the Murfreesboro Police Department.

Another homeless man called police to inform them that Kevin Wade, 45, was “yelling about white people and Satan,” the responding officer said.

When police responded near 6 a.m., Wade told them he is “God’s last chosen prophet and he should kill Satan’s followers.”

According to the report, Wade had collected several steel pipes and was keeping them near his campsite under the bridge.

Police determined that Wade was a threat to himself and to others and took him to Veteran Affairs for further evaluation.
